Writers Reading Group
Monday April 21st 4pm-6pm, Monday April 28th 4pm-6pm and Monday May 5th 4pm-6pm
A group where writers gather and hear their words, out loud, read by other writers. An opportunity to hear new writing, ideas, fragments and works in progress and seek (if the playwright wishes) feedback in a supportive and playwright-lead environment.
Applications are now open for WRITERS READING!
Applicants must be available to attend all three sessions.
You’ll have the opportunity to share your work in one of the three sessions and in the other two participate as a reader of other writers’ works. This course is designed for playwrights with some playwriting experience.
.*This is also a PWYC group with a minimum ask of $5 per week.
**The playwrights present and the identity, diversity, age and gender of the playwrights will be the voices in the room regardless of the script they are reading. Therefore we hope it’s understood that readers will be cast randomly. Upon acceptance into Writers Reading, Diana and Nick will reach out with questions about your script and will start a conversation around casting.
Co-Developed with and Co-Lead by Nick Green
We have 10 spots available for this group. Please send a short email introducing yourself and letting us know a bit about your playwriting experience to info@thevaultcreationlab.ca by Friday March 28th.
And if you’d like to participate as a listener that’s awesome too! No experience required and you’re welcome to show up and audit. Just shoot us an email
